Annual Report Presentation - ARP - 2025 for Scout Year 2024 - all invited - 23rd April 2025 at 1915 for 1930 sharp to 2100

Published Wed 26 Mar 2025

Dear 2nd Enfield Group Scout (Group) community.

The Annual Report Presentation (ARP)will take place on the 23rd of April 2025 commencing at 1930 sharp. We encourage you to arrive from at least 1915 as an opportunity to meet and greet other members of the 2nd Enfield Community. Super will follow with and I expect we will have packed and turned the lights off by 2100. Most of the evening shouild be an opportunity to meet and greet beyond the formalities. More on the details later.

The ARP is an important part of Scouting, as described in the overview you will see that as Group Leader I made a strategic decsion not to hold/postone a number of ARPs whilst we stabilised Youth Leader and more importantly Youth membership. It is pleasesing to see growth in the Youth Membership however we need more Youth Support Leaders ie Leaders, Adult Helpers and Group Support Committee Members. The ARP is formal however it is short, it is about the financial status of the Group that is reported to Scouts NSW, what we have done and other relevant reports about the Joey, Cub, Scout and Group activities over the last years  focusing on 2024; we will of course report on Jamboree 2025!

And most importanlty it is about nomination - it is not an election process - to the Group Support Committee (GSupportC) committee of interested persons. Currently former Scout Leaders Tanial Mitchell and Oliver Bock have been nominated and hold the following positions of Secretary, and Treasurer respectively. Current Scout Leader Damen Jones is nominated as an ordinary member/special member for the possible relocation of the Group's activities to 6 Byrers Street, Enfield. More on information on that later.

I am calling for members of the Group community to nominate to become a Leader, a GSupportC member and or or Adult Helper.

In April 2026, the 24th to be exact, 2nd Enfield Scout Group will have been operating for one hundred years, with many more years to come. To commence that celebration in the Scouting way we are organising a Group Camp including family over the nights of Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th of November 2025. if you have ideas or would like to contribute to the One Hundred Year Celebration that would be great. All ideas are good; in the Scouting Way we will lplan, do and review, a life skill we hope we are instilling in your youth, and remindnig us post our youth!

Yours in Scouting,
